MacDonald's Miniatures Price List

1.Weddings $600.00 (Up to 3 hours)

We attend your special day with your choice of heritage buggie, parade wagon, carriage, chariot, hay wagon or sleigh. We can transport you to or from the church by your choice of wagon. We will provide one of a kind photograph opportunities for the new couple, making your day amazing and unique.

2.Birthdays/Anniversaries $250.00 (Up to 2 hours)

We attend your birthday/anniversary party at a location that will facilitate use of one of the wagons. While at your party we will provide wagon rides, interaction time with the miniatures and an educational question and answer period.

3.Theme Photographs $250.00 (Up to 2.5 hours)

We attend your location with your choice of heritage buggie, parade wagon, carriage, chariot, hay wagon or sleigh.

4.Educational Demonstrations $200 for the first hour, $100 each hour after

Requires four (4) people or more- We bring two miniature horses to your location and provide an educational demonstration about miniature horses and a grooming lesson. Participants are encouraged to pet and play, while asking questions. If time permits carriage rides will be provided.

5.BBQ/Breakfast Functions $300.00 (Up to 3 hours)

6.Corporate Events $500.00 (Up to 4 hours)

7.Office Parties $250.00 (Up to 2 hours)

8.Parade $300.00
(Will display corporate logo/poster boards)

9.Rodeo functions $500.00 (Up to 4 hours)

Photography services available for each event provided by A Moment In Thyme Photography. Cost is $100 plus $15.00 for each photograph requested.

The Beginning of MacDonald's Miniature Horses

My name is Neil MacDonald.  I am the proud owner of MacDonald's Miniature Horses.  This is an exciting new venture for me and I want to share it with you!  Having been born and raised on a farm, I am a country man at heart.  Although my family and I have lived in Calgary for a substantial part of my life, my passion for the country life and animals has held strong.  With my four children grown and moved on with their families and all my grandbabies I have time to pursue my dream of sharing my love for horses with others. 

In 2003 I purchased my first miniature horse named Trucker.  then came Windy, Rocky, Tuffy, Lexie, Smurf and Prince.  In addition I acquired a heritage buggie,parade wagon, carriage, chariot, hay wagon and a sleigh. 

With a growing passion to share my feverish love for horses I started driving in parades.  For the past several years I have rode in the Calgary Stampede Parade, Airdrie Parade, Strathmore Parade, Okotoks Parade and the Longview Parade.  I have attended the Airdrie Pro-Rodeo and the Calgary Police Association Rodeo. 

I have actively represented The Missing Childrens Society, The Make A Wish Foundation, Kids Cancer Society,  Boothill Gallery representing Margie and Bernie Brown and Calgary Police Association.

In addition to driving in Parades I have often made visits to the Seniors Lodges, Church Functions, Birthday Parties, Theme Parties, Weddings, Anniversaries and multiple BBQ's and Breakfasts.

Over the years the demand for the presence of my miniature horses has grown.  We have become a familiar presence to many at many functions.  With so many inquiries as to how to obtain us and the growing demand, it became increasingly clear to me that I could further pursue my dreams and develop a business while doing what I love the most - sharing my miniature horses and my love for them.
